Mulakkada Kura (Drumstick Curry) is a tasty dish which tastes good with white rice, roti, chapathi.



Now let’s get to know how to prepare Mulakkada Kura (Drumstick Curry):


Below are the required ingredients to prepare Mulakkada Kura:


1 Mulakkada: 2
2 Onions: one (bigsize)
3 Chilies: one
4 Curry leaves: one sprig
5 Black gram (mine Pappu): 1 teaspoon
6 Bengal gram: 1 teaspoon
8 Salt to taste.
9 Coriander: one sprig (optional)
10 Turmeric Powder: 1/2 spoon
11 Red chili powder: 2 tablespoon
12 Oil: 3 tablespoons

Wash and clean mulakkada. Peel the skin and cut mulakkada into two inch pieces. Pick the tender drumsticks.

Wash and chop onion and green chilly



Preparing Mulakkada Kura (Drumstick Curry) in 6 simple steps:

Step 1:  Take a cooking pan or vessel pour the oil and heat it for 1 minute on low flame

Step 2:  Add black gram, Bengal gram fry it till it changes to golden brown

Step 3:  Add curry leaves, chopped onions, green chili and fry them until they changes to golden brown in color.

Step 4:  Add chopped drumstick pieces and cook them covered by a lid for 5 minutes. Remove the lid add salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder mix them well. Add 125 ml water Cook until  the drumstick pieces are cooked covered by a lid.

Step 5:  Finally add coriander leaves cook curry ooze the oil out

Step 6: Turn off the flame and move it into a serving bowl and serve hot



You can also cook this curry by using pressure cooker.its saves the time and easy to cook.
