MUNAGAKAAYA TOMATO KURA (DRUMSTICK WITH TOMATO CURRY)

Drumstick with tomato curry is a tasty dish which tastes good with white rice, roti, chapathi.

 

 

Now let’s get to know how to prepare Drumstick Tomato curry:

 

Below are the required ingredients to prepare Drumstick with Tomato curry :

 

1 Drumsticks: 2
2 Tomatoes: 2 (big size)
3 Onions: one (bigsize)
4 Chilies: one
5 Curry leaves: one sprig
6 Ginger and garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
7 Bengal gram (senaga pappu) : 1 tea spoon
8 Salt to taste.
9 Coriander: one sprig(optional)
10 Turmeric Powder: 1/2 spoon
11 Red chili powder: 3 tablespoon
12 Oil: 3 tablespoons

 

Wash and clean the drumsticks and cut the drumsticks  into 2 inch  pieces.

Wash and clean tomatoes. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces.

Wash and chop the onion and green chilies.

 

 

Preparing drumstick tomato curry in 6 simple steps:

Step 1:  Take a cooking pan or vessel pour the oil and heat it for 1 minute on low flame

Step 2:  Add Bengal gram fry it till it changes to golden brown

Step 3:  Add curry leaves, chopped onions, green chilies and ginger and garlic paste fry them until they change to golden brown in color.

Step 4:  Add chopped drumstick pieces and cook them covered by a lid for 5 minutes. Remove the lid add salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder mix them well.

Step 5:  Finally add the chopped tomato and add 75 ml water, coriander leaves cook it till the drumsticks and tomatoes are properly cooked finally curry ooze the oil out.

Step 6: Turn off the flame and move it into a serving bowl and serve hot
