TOMATO CURRY

Tomato curry is a tasty dish which tastes good with white rice, roti, chapathi.

 

 

Now let’s get to know how to prepare Tomato Curry:

 

Below are the required ingredients to prepare Tomato Curry:

 

1 Tomato: 250 grams
2 Onions: one (bigsize)
3 Chilies: one
4 Curry leaves: one sprig
5 Black gram (mine Pappu): 1 teaspoon
6 Bengal gram: 1 teaspoon
8 Salt to taste.
9 Coriander: one sprig (optional)
10 Turmeric Powder: 1/2 spoon
11 Red chili powder: 2 tablespoon
12 Oil: 3 tablespoons

Wash and clean tomatoes. Cut tomatoes into two pieces.

Wash and chop onion and green chilly

 

 

Preparing Tomato Curry in 6 simple steps:

Step 1:  Take a cooking pan or vessel pour the oil and heat it for 1 minute on low flame

Step 2:  Add black gram, Bengal gram fry it till it changes to golden brown

Step 3:  Add curry leaves, chopped onions, green chili and fry them until they changes to golden brown in color.

Step 4:  Add chopped tomato pieces and cook them covered by a lid for 5 minutes. Remove the lid add salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder mix them well. Cook until the drumstick pieces are cooked covered by a lid.

Step 5:  Finally add coriander leaves cook curry ooze the oil out

Step 6: Turn off the flame and move it into a serving bowl and serve hot
